The Listener é a mais recente série canadiana. Quem diria que eles também sabem fazer séries. Toby Logan (Craig Olejnik) é um paramédico com uma característica diferente, consegue ler mentes. Ele juntamente com o seu colega Osman Bey (Enis Esmer) irão auxiliar várias pessoas. Para além de Osman, Toby conta com a ajuda de mais algumas personagens.

Esta série está a ser transmitida na Fox desde o início de Março às segundas-feiras. No geral é interessante, a personagem principal tem carisma, o amigo ajuda no humor, o triângulo amoroso com duas personagem também é interessante e parece haver uma história para contar ao longo da temporada.

(Não tenho a certeza desta letra, não está igual ao que vem no álbum mas é difícil perceber algumas partes e chega-se a dúvidar do que está lá escrito)

Winged Creatures é um filme que irá passar ao lado de muita gente. Embora tenha excelentes actores e uma história razoável não parece ter qualquer destaque.
A história gira em volta de um crime que ocorre logo no inicio do filme, as personagens que assistem a esta tragédia são as focadas. Como seria de esperar estas personagens são completamente distintas e cada uma com a sua própria história para contar, cada uma delas com as suas falhas, medos ou segredos. Como sou daquelas pessoas que detesta ver trailers para saber o menos possível antes de ver um filme também não vou contar muito mais, iria estragar a experiencia toda. Resumindo é um filme com uma história engraçada, não propriamente original mas interessante quanto baste, que vale sobretudo pela performance de alguns grandes actores.

Este No Line On The Horizon era um dos álbuns mais esperados do ano, não por mim, mas havia uma certa curiosidade em ouvir. Não é um mau disco, até o oiço de vez em quando mas muito longe de ser a obra-prima que a revista Rolling Stone parece achar dele, pelo menos para dar a nota máxima… quase que apostava em dedo de editoras mas… voltando à música que é o que interessa. Há uma ou outra mais interessante, como Stand Up Comedy mas no geral são apenas medianas havendo uma sensação de se ter ouvido algo parecido em outro lugar. Foi inevitável comparar músicas com outras de outras bandas, talvez por terem temas semelhantes ou mesmo o estilo. Os U2 infelizmente não inovaram nada, e isso é o que tira maior gozo ao ouvir o No Line On The Horizon. Da “melhor banda do mundo” tem de se esperar muito mais do que isto, nada como uma boa música que nos dê que pensar um bocado ou que nos faça parar tudo o que estamos a fazer para a desfrutar e ouvir até ao mais pequeno detalhe.

Um disco para se ouvir sem preocupações.

Quer dizer ainda não o ouvi com atenção suficiente mas a primeira impressão é positiva, mais um caso que não é exactamente o meu género mas como o meu único requisito é que haja qualidade… sou obrigado a ouvir.

Não dar já uma nota ao álbum Yes mas fica um vídeo do single Love Etc.

Titus Andronicus, uma banda que descobri recentemente. O seu nome tem origem numa obra de Shakespeare, algo estranho para uma banda com origens no punk mas esta não é somente mais uma banda.
A capa do álbum diz muito do som deles, o caos organizado de guitarras e outros instrumentos que a imagem sugere é exactamente como posso definir a sua música.
Eu que não sou um grande fan deste estilo adorei o disco, acaba por ser aquilo que faltava ao género. Não que consiga dizer qual é este género musical, acaba por haver mistura de vários logo acaba por ser um indie-rock, tal como os No Age, parecem ser o novo rumo.
Não é um álbum fácil, os melhores raramente o são, mas garanto que vale a pena ouvir com atenção.

É dificil explicar muito mais por palavras um álbum, por isso nada como o ouvir para compreender melhor.

Aqui já consigo destacar uma: Dexter. Esta é a série que me deixou completamente fascinado. Uma história muito boa e uma personagem fantástica onde dá um gozo tremendo acompanhar a sua evolução.

Embora coloque a série Dexter no topo das minhas escolhas seria injusto não falar de pelo menos mais duas. The Sopranos e Extras. A primeira quase todos conhecem e é sem dúvida alguma uma obra-prima, mais do que aconselhada.

A segunda já deve ter passado ao lado de muita gente mas é uma das melhores séries de sempre, uma série que promete ser objecto de culto onde o Ricky Gervais faz o melhor papel da sua carreira.
